Ventilation Extractor fans

Extractor fans are a functional and practical solution for controlling excess humidity, smoke, heat removal or unwanted odors. Fans for bathrooms are generally smaller than those used in kitchens but do come with a timer for more efficient use.

Types of Extractor fans

Extractor fans are classified according to there way of functions i.e.

Centrifugal fansCentrifugal fans

Systematic Centrifugal Fans create a higher pressure airflow than Axial Fans. Able to withstand high airflow temperatures, they are designed to perform reliably no matter the weather or operating conditions.

Centrifugal fans are a type of fan where the air flows in either a perpendicular or radial direction in relation to the direction of the fan wheel. Systematic centrifugal fans are suitable for applications where high air pressure is required, such as industrial ventilation solutions.

Many of our centrifugal fans have an external rotor motor, which means that the motor is located in the impeller, ensuring optimal cooling and making the fan more compact. In addition, our range includes both centrifugal fans with backward-curved blades, e.g. KBR, and forward-curved blades, e.g. CE/CT.

These fans are designed for longer duct runs and are ideal for larger bathrooms, kitchens, or spaces where there’s no direct access to an external wall. They offer higher extraction rates but can be noisier.

Axial fans:Axial fans

Axial fans are a type of fan named after the direction of the airflow, which runs parallel to the axis of rotation of the fan blades. Whatever the application – indoors or outdoors, industrial or commercial – our axial fans quickly and efficiently remove heat, smoke and polluted air to ensure healthy and ventilated indoor environments all year round.

Unlike centrifugal fans, where the power lies in the high pressure, axial fans typically create a lower pressure but can handle significantly higher air volumes. So if you need to move large volumes of air, our axial fans are ideal.

These fans are suitable for short duct runs and are commonly used in small bathrooms or toilets with direct access to an external wall. They are known for their quiet operation.

Inline fans :Inline fans

Quiet, efficient, easy to clean, and easy to mount, Inline Domestic Fans are a perfect fit for bathrooms and toilets of all shapes and sizes. Multiple designs available to suit both commercial and industrial projects.

These fans are installed within the ducting system, making them suitable for spaces with long duct runs or those that don’t have access to an external wall. They are typically silent and compact.

The inline fan series supports use in domestic environments including bathrooms, toilets, shower rooms and other similar locations. Suitable for medium to small-sized premises, units provide air extraction through short length ducting and are built around a 230v PPX4 enclosure class motor.

Roof FansRoof Fans

As the name suggests, roof fans are a type of fan that is placed on the roof of a building. Roof fans are especially used in industrial ventilation solutions as they are very effective at removing gas, vapor or air.

However, roof fans can also be used for residential ventilation in both apartment blocks and detached houses, where they can also be used for chimney extraction. In addition, they are suitable for ventilation systems for both educational institutions and commercial buildings.

We also supply the necessary accessories for your roof fans, such as roof sockets, silencers, thermostats and dampers.

Our roof fans are often used in ventilation systems, where they can be combined with our wide range of air distribution products.

Conclusion

All Arcti Cool Africa fans and blowers are manufactured in line with local and international environmental regulations and are tested extensively in our lab to ensure they perform at or above industry benchmarks while using less energy.
